Artist Statement:

The Lake Superior Circle Tour gave me a chance to experience the varied landscape around the lake. This beach in Canada with its crashing waves was a joy to experience.

About the Artist:

Janice Dumas' passion for watercolors dates back to her teenage years in Michigan. She has focused on outdoor painting for 15 years and is a founding member of the Michigan Plein Air Painters. Janice's works have earned awards in several juried exhibitions, including ArtPrize, the Mackinac Island Contemporary Art Exhibit and the Michigan Watercolor Society, and she has participated in paint-out events in Glen Arbor, Traverse City, Milford, and Cadillac.
