Collection: acrylic paintings

Our curated collection of original acrylic paintings bring the beauty of Michigan's natural landscape, flowers and the Great Lakes into your home.

Sue Gilbert is known for her beautiful floral paintings and pen & ink drawings inspired by the blooms in her Michigan garden.  When Sue is not creating art, you will find her framing art as a designer and custom framer at Main Street Art.

Mary Bea McWatters is known for her nature-inspired works that capture the vibrancy and joy of sunsets, flowers, trees, waves, and landscapes.  In 2006, she received a BFA in Art and Design from Northern Michigan University in Marquette.  You can usually find the full-time artist creating in her Petoskey studio on the Bear River, riding her bike toward the breathtaking Northern Michigan sunsets, or exploring nature with a paintbrush or camera in hand. Her work as an artist seeks to become part of the beauty that surrounds us, the beauty that is within us, and the beauty that enriches our lives.

Denise Cassidy Wood's artwork draws serenity from nature and energy from color while showcasing the coexistence of various feelings in one beautiful piece. Her paintings have been selected for special installations at medical centers in Michigan, as part of the 'Healing Arts' program.

Dorothea Sandra's paintings exude upbeat, happy, positive vibes. She uses techniques she learned while earning a certification in evidence-based design to create artwork focused on the health, healing, and happiness of others.  Dorothea's work has been featured in Condé Nast’s House Garden, The World Of Interiors, and the Tatler in 2023.

Gerd Schmidt was born in East Germany in 1963 and moved to the United States in 2004 where he gained a fresh new perspective on life, harnessing a spirituality and creativity he had never before recognized. Despite lacking formal training, he turned to art as a way of expressing this newly found romanticism and began capturing nature’s beauty in his signature birch tree landscapes.  His unique artistic style beautifully combines color and texture to capture the scenic landscapes that inspire him. His work was featured in ArtPrize in 2018.
