Nawal Motawi was first wowed by Ann Percival's musical talent when they met on the sun-soaked beaches of St. Croix during a dance festival. Ann was rocking the piano in Nawal's favorite band. But then, Nawal stumbled upon Ann's paintings and was blown away by how wildly different their artistic styles were. Curiosity piqued, Nawal knew she just had to start a collaboration. And so, "4x8 Percival's Petals" was born – the first dazzling creation of their partnership, with plenty more to come!

Motawi tiles are striking art pieces and installation accents. Each tile is made by hand and with heart in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Motawi embraces variation and handmade beauty with their time-honored methods produce a nuanced range of color with depth and translucence.

Size

Approximately 5 7/8” x 5 7/8”. As each Motawi tile is crafted by hand, dimensions may vary slightly by up to 1/16". Tiles are 5/8" thick and have a notch at the back for hanging.
