Heiner Hertling’s oil painting captures a slushy bank of a marsh in the winter, with evergreens and bare hardwoods, ochre reeds and a grey-blue sky.
About the Artist:
Heiner Hertling of Howell, Michigan, was a graphic artist in the advertising arena for 20 years before embracing the visual arts as an oil painter and sculptor. The highly-acclaimed artist was the host of the PBS program, “Brush with Nature.” His work reflects his love for open spaces, wildlife and nature. Painting Plein Air in sub-zero temperatures with hearty friends is to him as satisfying as painting beside the Huron River on a beautiful sunny day.
