About the Artist:
Janet Marie Felted Goods is a Madison, Wisconsin based small business specializing in handcrafted felted wool items, soaps, and botanically printed textiles. Founder and creator, Janet, combines the ancient craft of felt-making with her passions for color, texture, and design to create beautiful, functional art for your home.   Janet's background in floral and landscape design translated easily into fiber arts when I was exposed to felting in the early 2000's.  She took her first felting class at a local llama farm, and was introduced to the beauty and versatility of wool.

She has attended felting classes taught by individuals from around the world. Through those classes and her own experimenting, she fell in love with high-quality wool, eco-dying, and the remarkable practicality and beauty of felted products.  Felting allows her to work with color and texture in ways she never thought possible and has connected her to an amazing community of people who share her love of fiber and creative passion.
