Coming & Going – 6x6 Art Tile

Motawi Tilework's 6x6 Coming & Going is based on Charley Harper's larger illustration, 'Once There Was a Field,' created in 1974 to accompany an article of the same name published in Ranger Rick. In Harper's own words: 

'It was a wondrous world. Birds. Blooms. Bugs. Butterflies. A breeze. Bees buzzing inside buttercups. A bluebird, killdeer and quail chasing grasshoppers on a glorious morning among morning glories. The sounds are long past hearing. The scents are past savoring. The sights are past seeing, but live forever in a picture.'

Motawi tiles are striking art pieces and installation accents. Each tile is made by hand and with heart in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The company embraces variation and handmade beauty: "Our time-honored methods produce a nuanced range of color with depth and translucence."

Actual Tile Size: Approximately 5 7/8” x 5 7/8”. As each Motawi tile is crafted by hand, dimensions may vary slightly by up to 1/16".

Tiles are 5/8" thick and have a notch at the back for hanging.
