Let's go, Lions!
Are you a die-hard Detroit Lions fan looking to show off your team spirit in a unique way? Look no further! Framing your Detroit Lions memorabilia at Main Street Art is the perfect way to showcase your love for the team while adding a touch of style to your space. Let's dive into the world of Detroit Lions memorabilia framing and how you can take your All Grit fan game to the next level.
What memorabilia can you frame?
From autographed jerseys and footballs to ticket stubs and photos, the possibilities are endless when it comes framing sports memorabilia. Working alongside our team, we will help you get creative and think outside the box (or frame) to find the perfect items to display in your fan cave or home office. Remember, the goal is to create a space that screams "Go Lions!" and we're here to help you create it.
One of our custom framers, Alliana, made this Detroit Lions shadowbox for her boyfriend, who is a Detroit Lions super fan. The Sports Illustrated magazine featuring the Lions is prominently featured, wrapped in mylar for preservation. Also included are two signed football trading cards of Penei Sewell.
One of the most interesting pieces we've ever framed is a seat back from the Silverdome, the home of the Detroit Lions from 1975-2001. The seat is #20 and signed by Barry Sanders, "The Lion King." The seat is secured using bolts and custom 3D printed washers. See the process on our Instagram.
How to choose the right design?
When it comes to framing your Detroit Lions memorabilia, the framing design is just as important as the item itself. We recommend opting for matting and frames that complement the colors of the team (blue and silver, anyone?) and enhances the overall look of the piece. Whether you prefer a sleek black frame or a bold silver one, make sure it speaks to your personal style and showcases your Lions pride.
We framed this Detroit Free Press newspaper article about the Detroit Lions three ways:
- Triple Matted with black, blue and white mats, and simple black frame.
- Unmatted with an offset black frame that gives the piece depth.
- Double Matted with blue and black mats, and simple black frame.
Working with mat boards, frames and other design elements, we can create virtually any look.
DIY vs. Professional Framing
While DIY framing can be a fun and cost-effective option, sometimes it's best to leave it to the professionals (especially when it comes to your prized memorabilia). As professional framers, our team at Main Street Art has the expertise and tools to ensure your items are preserved and displayed in the best possible way. Plus, you won't have to worry about crooked frames, spots on the glass or uneven matting - a win-win!
Signed jerseys should always be handled by a professional to ensure they are properly preserved to retain value over time. Luckily, jersey framing is one of our specialties!

Adding a personal touch
Want to make your Detroit Lions memorabilia even more special? Consider adding personal touches like photos of you at the game, custom writing on the mat indicating the day, custom matting with the team's logo, a plaque with the player's name and number, or even LED lighting to make your display pop.
So, whether you're a lifelong Lions fan or a newcomer to the pride, framing your Detroit Lions memorabilia with Main Street Art is a fun and creative way to celebrate your love for the team. Get ready to show off your fan spirit in style and let your Lions pride shine bright!
