Description:

The flowers found in Catherine Adamkiewicz's paintings are purposely left open to interpretation. Whether they are sunflowers, daisies, or something else entirely is up to the viewer. While originally conceived as sunflowers, the artist later saw them as daisies during the creation process, and she couldn't get this tune out of her head:  "Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do.  I'm half-crazy, all for the love of you."

What will Daisy say? I hope she says yes.

About the Artist:

Catherine Adamkiewicz (AKA Siena Becket) creates colorful abstract art inspired by her love of nature and her desire to encourage and uplift others.  A writer, published author, nature photographer and life-long creative, she began painting in 2020 and credits the gift of the "The Great Pause" as a catalyst in her decision to create full-time.

Catherine uses acrylic paint, inks, pastels and other media, along with collage elements like sheet music and poetry to create works that explore a wide range of emotions, most especially joy, hope, and transformation.  Her art is featured in an ongoing installation called Arts for the Spirit Program at Corewell Hospital.  Awards include the Dorothy W. Sorensen Painting Award 2023, Up North Arts, Cadillac, Mich., and Second Place 2023 Northville Art in the Sun.
