"'I will find comfort in the rhythm of the seas' is a quote from Charlotte Erikson, a more contemporary poet. We are naturally drawn to the ocean, with dreams of faraway places and tales of wonder. I pondered what stories these vessels would tell, when I came upon them during an early morning walk along an island beach."

About the Artist:

Kathy's paintings reflect the joy found in nature in its many forms, all with bright and lively color in a strong graphic style. Having majored in fine art and biology, Kathy brings to her work a unique perspective, combining her knowledge of science with the wonder of creating. She gives her vision a voice with watercolors, pastels, and graphite. 

Kathy works out of her home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
