About the Artist:

Cindy Mitchell draws inspiration for her oil paintings from nature.  She enjoys walking in snowy environments where there's a feeling of peace and calmness along the woodland trails.  She spotted the snowy owl featured in this painting while crossing a stream in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  The artist earned a masters degree in oil painting whiile living abroad in Europe.  She taught for 18 years for the Pinckney School District and now owns an art gallery in Pinckney.
