About the Maker:

Brent Alferink of Great Lakes Print Shop in Holland, Mich., grew up looking at an atlas for hours during road trips as a kid.  Then he got into racing sailboats in Holland – successfully completing the Chicago to Mackinac Island sailboat race five times. These interests led to his passion for maps.

Brent is the sole proprietor of Great Lakes Print Shop.  He researches vintage maps, then digitally restores, prints, trims and frames them.  The replica vintage prints are sourced from a vast archive of maps, nautical charts, and advertisements from long, long ago.
