About the Artist:
Mackinac Island resident Allison Sehoyan loves to chase freighters (a.k.a. North American "lakers") with her husband or son at the helm of their boat. The self-taught photographer gets up close to these magnificent vessels to capture beautiful images as they ply the waters of the Great Lakes – through the Round Island Passage and under the Mackinac Bridge. Allison's award-winning freighter images have been featured in juried art exhibitions in the Richard & Jane Manoogian Mackinac Island Museum, Crooked Tree Arts Center and Bonifas Museum.
