HOME - Framed Set of Tiles (Grass Green)

HOME celebrates our Great Lakes State with four 6 x 6 decorative tiles handmade by Little Traverse Tileworks in Northern Michigan.  They are framed with a white distressed frame perfect for a cozy kitchen, home office or cottage.  Framed dimensions approximately 14 x 14 in.

The tiles are treated with a buffed glaze application to bring out the natural colors in the underlying clay.  They are hand carved and hand pressed. 

About the artists:

Cora Smith and her colleagues at Little Traverse Tileworks work in the classic Arts & Crafts style and begin each tile with a design either hand carved in plaster or sculpted in clay developed in Michigan.  They draw from natural images such as maple leaves, sailboats and local lakes to develop designs that resonate in tile.
