 "'The dragonfly hangs like a blue thread loosened from the sky' by Dante Gabriel Rosetti, who was an English poet, illustrator, painter and translator in the 1800's. His quote seemed like the perfect fit, when during a walk through the Belle Isle Nature Center, these creatures were flitting about. I snapped my camera to capture their beautiful symmetry to paint at a later date."

About the Artist:

Kathy's paintings reflect the joy found in nature in its many forms, all with bright and lively color in a strong graphic style. Having majored in fine art and biology, Kathy brings to her work a unique perspective, combining her knowledge of science with the wonder of creating. She gives her vision a voice with watercolors, pastels, and graphite. 

Kathy works out of her home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
