Bird with Nest - 4 x 4 art tile

Bird with Nest is crafted from porcelain and hand dipped in Rick's specially formulated glaze. All tiles are handmade in Whistling Frog's Michigan studio. Sculpted by Tonya. There is a notch on back for hanging, yet if you wish to install, it's also suitable for that too. If used outdoors in freezing temperatures, just make sure to keep it vertical.

4x4” is a nominal size. The actual measurements are 3.75 x 3.75" with raised relief of .5" or less. 

About Whistling Tile

Whistling Frog Tile Company is a collaboration of two artists: Rick Pruckler & Tonya Lutz.

All clay and glazes are crafted using sustainable practices. Packing supplies & glaze containers are up-cycled for minimal environmental impact, and as much surplus clay and water as possible are conserved and recycled.  If a tile is broken, even these are up-cycled.  Find them tucked into public art murals around Detroit. 

Each tile they make donates to a cause, including: preserving history with commemorative tiles, Parkinson's detecting dogs research, the care of our pristine Great Lakes and nature sanctuaries, access to free art experiences and library learning.  Every purchase made is supporting small business and making our world a better place.
