Collection: Art by Mary Beth Toomey
Horses played an integral part in artist Mary Beth Toomey's life. The accomplished equestrian and award winning equine artist, enjoyed working in oil on board, following the old masters formula of layering multiple glazes over a monochromatic egg tempera and India ink under painting. The former barn manager of Ivory Farm in White Lake, Michigan had a fondness for the Lipizzaner breed and was a lifetime ULSF enthusiast member. Many of her paintings feature Lipizzaner horses.
Mary Beth left three horses behind when she passed away suddenly in December 2019. Mister, Bob, and Rosie. All proceeds from the sale of her artwork will provide care for the horses she loved so much.
