Jennifer has called Mackinac Island her summer home since 2006. Like many people, she believes there's something magical about the Island that makes her happy when she's there and yearn for it when she's away. Somedays, it's the clear, cool water that takes your breath away. On others, it's the delicate wildflowers that dazzle your eyes. Just about every day, it's the rhythmic clip-clop of horses that puts a bounce in your step.
The photographer explores the island by bike and foot looking for inspiration. Her images focus on the wonder of nature and often reveal surprising, fresh perspectives when human-made and natural elements merge in the Island’s landscapes. The Michigan State University graduate’s award-winning work has been featured in numerous juried museum exhibitions, and published in several magazine articles and books about Mackinac Island.
